War Song (#1)
01:56
|
|||
Pack your bags you’re 18
Leave your life and leave your dreams at home
Say goodbye to your girl and start your journey across the world
If you die you know she’ll cry
Promise her that you’ll come back again
And when you’re gone please never forget me
Go to camp and spend your days
Learning how to fight their ways with war
Soldier up you’re 19
Sailing away in secret dreams
a pawn to a queen
Promise her that you’ll come back again
And when you’re gone please never forget me

Throne (#2)

If I’m scared
If I’m unaware of life
I’m if dumb
If I’m nervous to cry
Would you take away my name
Forget it like the rest of us
Am I ever gonna to fall in love
Am I ever gonna to raise a child
Am I ever gonna to sneak away on a summer night
with a girl and the world and all my life to live
Now I’ll be lying alone in a beach
With a bunch of brothers I met last week
Alone
If I’m young
If I’m dumb enough to cry
If I’m blind
To all the beauties in sight
Would I die a worthy man to sit and hold your hand
Am I ever gonna to fall in love
Am I ever gonna to raise a child
Am I ever gonna to sneak away on a summer night
with a girl and the world and all my life to live
Now I’ll be lying alone in a beach
With a bunch of brothers I met last week
Alone

Morphine (#3)
02:58
|

France, 1944
Barely living and still at war
Mom and dad I’ve never seen
Hell on earth
These wicked screams
Limping bodies
Tripping forwards, backwards,
Falling over me
Bloody kids yelling for their lives
Morphine
The boy he fell into my arms
He left this world among the stars
He wakes me up when I’m asleep
As if to shake the memories
The lights look better from afar
As if they’re yelling to the stars
Hey look I can shine like you
And the boy he shines on too
Morphine
of all the lives that we have lost
fighting for freedom, at what cost
Trading our lives in for pearls
ontop our throne, we sit and rule the world

The End

|

So the end of the story isn't all that great,
But they sit on their porch and they try to create,
The best selling outfit for your fears
And when the selling's all thru they'll lock you up
Keep stealing your songs and act real tough
and knocking out your fame with their bare hands
Sing my love till we run out of wine
Sing my love till I can't recognize your face
Under the pale moonlight.
But tonight, that's alright
Cuz I'm runnin out of breath
Just take it slow
Just waitin for your lips to start to hold
live your life, do what you’re told
you can have your dreams when your a little bit older
but freedom doesn’t come without a cost
sit up straight don’t waste your time
sign your name on the dotted line
And fight to make us better than the rest
Sing my love till we run out of wine
Sing my love till I can't recognize your face
Under the pale moonlight.
But tonight, that's alright
Cuz I'm runnin out of breath
Just take it slow
Just waitin for your lips to start to hold
This is a voice unknown
In a lonely home
Without you
These are a strangers clothes
On an empty road
Going nowhere

Lady By The Lake
04:02
|
|||
mpossible intersections and concrete proof,
Of a heavenly gate all dressed up and blue.
Closed off in section With a sinful light,
Barely visible and only at night.
Thousands of years and moments of peace,
Saving their souls and cleaning their sheets.
Leftover lovers line up an pray,
Saving their masterpiece called glorious day.
Find a new focal point while sun fades to gray,
Laying and praying on a bench in the rain.
Cosmic and every green she lives through the night,
Whatever she has to do for her to survive.
Switching the scene as you walk a little closer,
Haunting your dreams from her spot upon your shoulder
Sitting across the street as an outlined figure,
Maybe you somehow could be everything for her.
And now she is calling your name by the lake,
A cigarette lady and all her mistakes.
Her lungs could be coated with black tar and coal
The air that she exhales could change your whole world.
Dressed in her silence and pleading for life
Ash as her witness of all of her nights
Impossible intersections, aching away
And turning their backs on glorious day
